Community PACS Viewer Upgrades - NEW Collaboration Tool
6/20/2013
Multiple physicians can now collaborate to view and manipulate the same PACS image
Upgrades to the Southern Tier HealthLink (STHL) Community PACS Viewer became available on June 5th, 2013, that will assist greater care coordination for patients in our community. Authorized users of the STHL Clinical Web Portal have convenient access to these new features of the STHL Community PACS Viewer- a zero footprint viewer that provides diagnostic quality images without any additional required logins or downloads.
The all new Collaboration Tool allows real-time image collaboration between multiple care professionals within a health information exchange (HIE) community in just a single click. This new feature of the viewer facilitates remote consultations by providing fluid image review and full access to image manipulation tools to an unlimited amount of users per session. Providers now can simultaneously access and review the image together. This tool is now a standard feature available to all STHL Clinical Web Portal Users.
Key Features:
- Simple, one-click access to start a collaboration session
- Full access to real-time image manipulation tools during the session
- No loss in image quality for participants in the session
- No lag in response between user systems
- Unlimited users per session
The STHL Community PACS Viewer now also includes a new Cobb Angle measurement tool and convenient printing functionality. Physicians accessing the STHL Community PACS Viewer can print images with options to include patient demographics and annotations, if desired.
The additions of these tools for the STHL Provider community will help improve collaboration between physicians, helping to enhance patient care and reduce redundancy in costly imaging studies.
